Artigarvan, Leckpatrick Parish Rentals & Valuations 1777-1858

Transcribed & Compiled by Len Swindley

The village of Artigarvan (Garvan’s High House) is located approximately 6 kms north of Strabane on the Donemana Road and belonged to the extensive Abercorn Estate. The Abercorn Papers form a very large collection in PRONI, Belfast, which includes title deeds, rentals, leases, accounts and correspondence relating to both Tyrone and Donegal estates from the early seventeenth century. The following data has been extracted from LDS microfilms: researchers should consult the Family History Library catalogue for a complete listing of this microfilmed archive. Alternatively, the originals may be viewed at PRONI, Belfast
