REVERAND JOSEPH LOVE: Killeter
Rev. Joseph Love was licensed on 26th Feb. 1839. He died on the 23rd May 1885. He was succeeded by his son Rev. George Clarke Love, who was installed in Killeter, on the 18th Aug. of the same year. Before that at Carnone, 1st Apr.1855, ordained in Killala. After 4 years, he was obliged to give up due to ill health and went to Australia, on 4 Sept. 1880. He died in Strathalbyne, South Australia, on 17 July 1929, aged 76 years. (from the book by J. EmeryBook on Minister's Church House) George Clarke Love was educated at Queen's College University ACB West (London)- M.A (Q.U.I.) 1877//B.D. C.B.T.F.I.) 1889 Licensed Donegal 23 Apr. 1878. Installed in Carnone 29 May 1879. Resigned 11 Aug. 1885. Installed Killeter 18 Aug. 1885 and left for Victoria Australia Church, St. Andrew Dimbala Strathalbyne. He married Maggie Georgina Beattie, daughter of Rev. R. Beattie of Lowry (?)

Rev. George Love's stipend was £60. per year

Rev. Joseph Love's stipend was £41.2.3 in 1879

Information on Headstone:

"Sacred to the memory of Mary, wife of Rev. Joseph Love, Lislaird, who died March 24th 1859 aged 46 years. Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. Also to their son Alick who died July 17th 1878, aged 25 years. Also to the Rev. Joseph Love for 47 years minister of Killeter who died May 23rd 1885 aged 70 years. "they rest from their labours, their works do follow them." also his wife, Jane Stewart who died Feb. 27th 1897"
