John Brown sworn; Is a sub-constable of police; went, on information, to the townland of Crew, on the 16th of August last, to the house of MARY FULTON, traverser’s mother; witness leaned against the door and saw ANNABELLA FULTON filing a counterfeit half-crown; there were several other similar pieces of metal on the table; when seen, put her cap on them; had some conversation with her when she got the pieces from her apron; arrested her; there were eighteen pieces altogether; got a crucible and chisel in the house [Further details of the trial are reported ] Guilty.

The affray occurred as the prosecutors named McCONNEL were returning from the fair of Ballinahatty, and originated in a previous quarrel: Verdict - JOHN McKERNAN, not guilty - the other traversers guilty of a riot.

It appeared in evidence that the traverser went to the shop of Miss Alcorn, on the 6th August last, and obtained the goods named in the indictment, by pretending that she had been sent for them by MRS. McCONCHY, of Omagh. Guilty.

Arranged for a riot, and for assaulting FRANCIS McKANE on the 18th May last at Garvacullion.

This was an affair in which an unfortunate individual lost his life, and occurred when both parties were intoxicated.

Several respectable individuals gave an excellent character to the prisoners. Verdict - BRIAN McCULLION, RODGER REID, and ANNE McFADDEN - Not Guilty.

The other traversers guilty of a riot.
